M&H Towing joins the fight against breast cancer

M&H Towing presenting check at local cancer walk.

On Saturday, October 14th, M&H Towing attended the 31st Annual Bosom Buddies “One Step Closer to Help & Hope” 5K Walk/10K Run. The Walk/Run is presented by Montrose Regional Health, starting at the Montrose Pavilion. Every dollar raised from this event stays in Southwestern Colorado to help people whose lives have been touched by breast cancer.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. About 1 in 8 women born today in the United States will get breast cancer at some point. The good news is that most women can survive breast cancer if it’s found and treated early. A mammogram can help find breast cancer early when it’s easier to treat.

Five percent of all revenue generated from our Breast Cancer Awareness truck is donated to our local Bosom Buddies chapter, benefitting cancer victims in our community. Pryce Hoey, the owner of M&H Towing and Recovery, presented The Bosom Buddies with a check for the money from our special truck.

The Bosom Buddies Breast Cancer Support Group of Southwestern Colorado helps pay for diagnostic tests such as mammograms, doctors’ fees, equipment, family counseling, and so much more. Bosom Buddies also offers scholarship opportunities to breast cancer survivors and to the children of a parent or guardian who has ever been diagnosed with this devastating disease.
